The range runs from the small trailerables (Hunter 22, 25, 26, and the 170 and 216 daysailers) up through the marina staples: the 27, 28.5, 30, 31, 33, 34, 36, 37 Cherubini, 380, 40, 41, 45, and 49. Owners of the 1980s Cherubini-designed boats and owners of the later B&R-rigged models are usually very clear about which camp they are in, and the drawings reflect that.

Hunter has been building in Alachua, Florida since 1973, and the design language changed a lot along the way: traditional masthead rigs early on, then the fractional B&R rig with swept spreaders and no backstay, then the arch over the cockpit on later cruisers.
